I wanted to lose weight but I didn't really know how to go about it you know? My usual ways weren't working. I would exercise but eat the same as I always did, and the weight stayed on. Finally I decided, I need an eating plan to help me. I thought about Atkins, but I'd heard that it was so hard to keep the weight off once you lost it. It didn't seem like a realistic eating plan to me, cutting out all carbs. So then I talked to a couple people at the church I sang at about weight watchers. This woman told me I could eat whatever I wanted, just count the points. I logged on to the site, read about the Flex Plan, and was sold. This was a year ago. |
THE JOURNEYAround 6 months later, I had done very well, but was on a plateau. I started at 175 and had gotten down to about 153 but I couldn't get away from there. I tried the Wendie Plan(Click Here for more info about the Wendie Plan) and it helped me get down to about 140(a very slow process) but I knew there was something else I needed to do. So finally, I tried Core. it worked like a charm. By October 30, I had reached 131, my projected goal. I stayed on Core with maintenance, and lost a few more pounds, but am now maintaining a healthy 122. | BEFORE--175 lbs |
CHALLENGESActually strangely enough it wasn't that hard to keep up cuz i didn't really feel deprived you know? But there were hard parts, particularly when i would go out to parties or whatnot. Cheese and crackers, wine, beer, cake, when you eat enough of it, can really add up in points lol. And I do enjoy wine now and then, especially at parties, so I had planned to use some WPA's for that. Also when I switched to Core, it was hard sometimes to gage when i was "satisfied" or "stuffed" and a couple times i overdid it. But when I learned to listen to my body, I just wasn't as hungry all the time. That was odd, but comforting. On flex--I did really well for about 6 months, then started to plateau. Core broke that plateau. |
OVERALLI love this program, and definitely would reccomend it to anyone i know who wants to lose weight! |
